Meet A Chicken Day

Meet A Chicken Day

Tri-County 4-H in South Carolina uses a great way to introduce elementary students to what agriculture is all about with "Meet A Chicken Day". Animals of all types make agriculture more interesting and small farm animals like chickens really make great sense. You can bring along further processed products, candle eggs, and especially bring a chicken for the kids to see and touch. So if you are a planning an Ag Awareness Day or Farm Day for your chapter consider promoting it or having a station at your event where everyone can meet a chicken.
